Daily News LA CRESCENTA An electrical discharge hospitalized a Southern California Edison contractor servicing an underground vault today and disrupted power for more than 2,100 customers, officials said. The discharge from a 16,000-volt circuit occurred about 10:30 a.m. near Pennsylvania Avenue and Foothill Boulevard, where a crew with Riverside-based Pouk & Steinle was repairing faulty transformers, said Tom Boyd, an Edison spokesman. The victim s identity was not immediately released, but he suffered first- and second-degree burns to the arms and face and was transported to Verdugo Hills Hospital, Boyd said. The wounds did not appear life-threatening.
